July 04, 2023 Toph Toph's babies are here. 9 in one fell swoop. 7 males and 2 girls. The birth was quiet and relatively fast for 9 puppies. At 9:25 the first girl saw the light of day and a heavy male brought up the rear at 12:25. Toph Toph is a great mom. Mother and puppies are doing well. We are very pleased. What a joy.

Today was the long awaited day, pregnancy ultrasound at Toph Toph. It's always an exciting event and you're rooting for it, ... wearing yes, no, yes, no, yes. An unequivocal YES! Yay Toph Toph is wearing! We could clearly see three puppies. Maybe a fourth or fifth one is hiding. We are happy about everyone who comes wobbly. The anticipation is great. The puppies are expected around July 4th.

Our child is growing up. At 11 months, our youngest is now in heat, Mulle. As so often in a pack, one bitch starts her heat and the others follow. So also with small Mulle. Mulle masters her heat with flying colors.

On May 3rd it was finally too far. Toph Toph and Flauschi (Xenos) had a love date. In the most beautiful spring weather, the two have married. If everything works out, the stork will come at the beginning of July and bring the puppies.

Choosing the right stud dog is always an exciting affair. For weeks, even months, one compares pedigrees, calculates inbreeding coefficients, compares health evaluations and of course also looks at the visual appearance. But what you don't see in all of this is the character, the essence of a dog. In my understanding of breeding, the character must definitely be included and is a crucial piece of the puzzle in my decision. So on February 18th we made our way to Xenos, who we affectionately call Flauschi from his family. Xenos and Toph Toph got along very well right away. Xenos is a wonderful male, very charming, friendly, calm, ... all around a great family dog. He runs free, whether on a walk or in the stable with the horses, is uncomplicated when it comes to food and lives in the middle of his family with cats and children. A very sympathetic male, just like you imagine a Silken Windsprite to be. The absolutely right partner for our lovely Toph Toph. It can only be great puppies. Now we are looking forward to Toph Toph's heat and hope to see you again soon.

We have decided to have our dogs additionally tested by the American gene laboratory Embark. The results have finally arrived. Of course, our dogs have already been tested for common genetic diseases, but the evaluations by Embark give you a broader view of maintaining health. Embark tests for more than 230 genetic variations responsible for disease, more than 35 coat and body traits, such as coat color and the genetic inbreeding coefficient. As a member of the IWC (International Windsprite Club), we are happy to make the results available to the association and thereby support the "Windsprite Diversity Project".

The pretty Yukon and the enchanting Toph Toph had their breeding license exam in Salzgitter at the weekend. Both presented themselves well and passed the breeding license with the best results. We are very pleased. :-) We are particularly proud of the two, how great they behaved. Yukon calmly gave us sovereignty to other Silken males of the same age, who were very pushy. His friendly and balanced nature makes him so lovable. The little mouse Toph Toph also behaved in an exemplary manner and stayed calm at my side.

Hippie's puppies have landed. Eagerly awaited and then 11 in one fell swoop. What a great gift. In 2 hours and 30 minutes our amazing hippie calmly gave birth to one pup after the other. The puppies were coming in like crazy and I was struggling to keep up with the weighing and tagging. What a great mother. We are extremely grateful for our beautiful A-litter.

The day of truth has come. :-) Is Hippie pregnant and can you already see something during the ultrasound examination? A breeder friend of mine came by with her mobile ultrasound device, so we relaxed and examined Hippie at home. ... and lo and behold... very small dots could be seen, small fruit plants, which should one day become beautiful Silken Windsprites. Yay we are so happy. :-)

Hippie and Donnie (Bernhard) celebrated their wedding on March 27th and 29th. It was love at first sight in Braunschweig. In the best weather, Hippie and Donnie "dared" each other, for both of them for the first time. I am sure they will be beautiful puppies. :-)
